Antique doll quilts for fall

Time to pull out the fall decorations...here are a few doll quilts I enjoyed pulling out of the cupboard.

The charm of antique doll quilts is that the corners don't have to match and we still love them.

Notice the fugitive purple, just a hint of purple remains
Looking for idea to use up your scraps?  Here you go.

I used this antique doll quilt for a model for one of my quilts.

Look at the cool leaf print on the back.

  2. I love your little quilts. I will have to dig in the scrap bag and try to make some similar new (old) quilts. Thank you for the inspiration.

  3. More cuties from your collection! Tonight as I closed down the sunroom, it occurred to me that it is time to put away the spring flowers, an get out the fall flowers, table mats, etc., and also to put away at least some of the patriotic things, but somehow I just can't bring myself to do that right now! I may go straight into Christmas things before too long! ---"Love"

  4. They are so precious! I do love to decorate with small quilts - hanging over chairs, on the wall, on tables, etc. I just can't get enough of them!

  8. Love your doll quilts - the stars, and the coins are wonderful finds. Oh, the madders are just fabulous in the first quilt! I think it may inspire me to create something similar, including wonky piecing! These were so fun to see; thanks!

  10. Those sweet little antique quilts are great inspiration for fall decorating. I've a basket of dried flowers on top of my pine TV cabinet. A small quilt using some of my Civil War fabrics would look just right in it. Thanks for the decorating ideas.
