Quilt Lab Reorganization and Renovations

I have spent the last week reorganizing, renovating, and down-sizing in the quilt lab.  I got rid of an old dresser where I stored fabrics.  It was not ideal storage because I had to rummage through to find just the fabric I wanted.  I found storage cupboards on Amazon and, with some help from my sons, assembled them.  The cupboards have tons of storage space.  I have reproduction fabrics in one and antique fabrics in the other.

Here is a stack of little quilts I have made over the years.  I can enjoy them whenever I open the doors instead of having them stashed away in a drawer.

It was also fun to decorate the top of the cupboards.
Here are views of the rest of the quilt lab.
Vintage sewing box with reproduction velvet strawberries.

Storage drawers under the work table hidden by a shower curtain from Target.  I just loved the colors so cut it down to fit.

  3. Very nice! I'm sure you will enjoy your space more. Now, the question is, "How long will it stay that neat?" With your organizational skills, probably a long time! Wish mine looked half that nice; right now it's a total mess! ---"Love"

  8. The Lab is looking good. I like the idea of the curtain. I have a grungy set of shelves that could do with a spruce up.

  10. It is beautiful. We do have to take stock from time to time about how we use our space and how best to organize it. I really like that large floss and needle you have as decoration.
