I'm serious now. I put a new blade in my rotary cutter. Time to make a quilt!
I am going to make a reproduction of this antique four-patch doll quilt. Here are some of the fabrics I have chosen so far. These are repros, not antique fabrics that I often use. Notice how many different striped fabrics there are in the original quilt. I haven't found a fabric to use for the sashing yet. Any suggestions?

Just too cute! My stripe inventory is very slim - I'm not sure why. A new blade is always good. I should change mine out as well.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was just digging in the stash this morning and I saw a possibility.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great quilt!!
Cute! It's always fun to be on the hunt for lookalike fabrics!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I love your fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteOh, My goodness, Ann. I have that green from a deconstructed quilt. How old do you think it is I know that yours is a reproduction...hmmm...Maybe when life is not so stressful, I will have to dig the whole thing out. Anyway, I love your little doll quilt and cannot wait to see the new one.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. No wonder you want to do a repro. Can't wait to see it. That border looks familiar. Part of a column stripe?
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a Windham fabric. They may have a floral stripe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely darling quilt. I'm sure you will find the perfect fabric for the sashing. Maybe a Lecien. They have wonderful roses fabrics which looks antique.
ReplyDeleteps... I love that the original fabric has tulips. Wow. I would die for a piece of fabric like that.
