I did a little antique shopping out in the Lancaster, PA area. I found two irresistible, 19th century little-girl dresses. Here they are hanging in my living room, along with a little quilt I made. See page 27 of Childhood Treasures, Doll Quilts By and For Children by Merikay Waldvogel, for the quilt inspiration.
How sweet. I love antiquing in the Lancaster area. We don't get there often enough. Love your little quilt. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh Ann, this looks so wonderful! Lucky you to find these sweet little dresses and your quilt looks perfect between them. Such a nice display for you to enjoy. It's neat the dresses are about the same size. It gives the grouping a nice balance. Have a great day. Hugs, Lori

ReplyDeleteI love the dresses with the little quilt! I have a few dresses hanging at my house too. Some doll dresses - old ones and one that I made. Also a real christening dress that my Mom had. Don't know who wore it though. I also have a sunbonnet that must have been my grandmothers!
