tiny treasure

I pulled out this little antique textile item the other day.  I have had it for a few years and just love it.  I guess you can call it a small potholder, it has thick batting inside.
It measures just over 4 inches and has a great selection of ealy fabrics, ca. 1850.  If the front isn't enough for you, check out the back.

 For size perspective.
No quilting or ties.  Handsewn loop.  The batting feels like it could be a thick blanket piece.  I'm glad somebody saved this tiny treasure so we could enjoy it today.

  11. Do they look like they have been used Ann? They seem to be in amazing condition for objects that get a pretty rough time of it. ann :-)
