Getting there...

I am back to my one patch quilts.  I find it so fun to pick out the fabrics, cut and lay out the squares...but then you have to sew them all together.  Boring!  But I have applied myself to the task and made some progress.  It helps to have the Phillies game on in the background.

The pink and brown is done, except for a border.  I think it will be one of the following browns.

The other one, which has even more squares, is getting there.

  1. Sew pretty, I love the pinks and browns. I like the darker brown in the first picture, wonder which one you will choose! Sometimes sewing the pieces does get tiresome, but the end product is soooooooooo worth the work!

  3. I agree that there is nothing quite like a basic little one patch quilt...so simple yet so striking. Yours are wonderful, especially the pink and brown one (a favorite combination of mine!) Can't wait to see them both finished :)

  6. It may be boring but it's a quick finish and great results - strawberries and chocolate sauce or tutti frutti! Well that's what they make me think of!

  7. I love these little quilts and have 1 1/2" pieces cut so I can make some whenever I get around to it.

  8. I like the green background with the little flowers. I think it is #3 in the background auditions. It makes the colors glow!

  10. How can you say sewing pieces together is boring? No...sewing borders on a queen size quilt...THAT is boring! I love the darkest brown in the first photo - it really sets off the quilt. Such a cute quilt.
