After I posted the photo of my quilt cupboard--ok, one of my quilt cupboards--I received a request from Sandra (Textile Time Travels blog) for a photo of the pillar print she spied on the top shelf. The pillar print is the back and front edges of a pair of pillowcases dating to around 1830.

ReplyDeleteI love prints like that! You can find them mostly in upholstery fabric nowadays but sometimes you get lucky. And sometimes the upholstery fabric is light enough to use in a quilt. What a great find.
