7/13 and I need an intervention

With two weeks left until my spring show, I have completed 7 of my 13 new quilts.  I am in good shape and not panicking--not yet anyway.

This is how the quilt lab looked after last weekend of cutting batting and backing, then recutting batting.  I think I need an intervention for my little "problem".

The smelly batting has been picked up by the UPS man and hopefully my refund will be forthcoming.  I am curious as to what the manufacturer will say regarding the source of the odor once they get the batting back.  The first word from them, via the distributor,  was that it couldn't be their fault, something must have spilled on the product during shipping.  Ummm, I don't think so...

  1. It's always someone else's fault! You are making terrific progress and that organised chaos looks okay to me. Ann :-)

  2. The quilts look great, at the rate you are going I do not think you will need to panic.
I am so happy to see the lab with a little bit of "stuff" about. That ay I don't feel so guilty about my explosion of fabric and notions.LOL

  3. Your little quilts look great. I love the colors and fabrics you have collected to use in your little gems. I'm sure you will have everything done in plenty of time for your show. Your messy lab is just a sign of a very creative mind and there is nothing wrong with that! Glad to hear you are resolving the smelly batting problem. We'll see what the manufacturer decides the problem is. Good luck with your show, have fun!

  4. What a cute stack of little quilts! I'd love to have them on a table exactly as you have them pictured! I have no doubt you will finish the others ahead of time! I'd bet your comment on Ann's blog is very true! It made me laugh out loud! ---"Love"

  5. Glad to see you have a "normal" working method. The quilts look gorgeous and show no effects of the background chaos. I hope you show photos of your exhibition. I would attend if I could...

  7. Ohhh look at that pretty pile! I'm hoping my mother-in-law and I can come to the show (she lives in Harleysville). I love my little Ann Hermes mini quilt that Ann (a good yarn) made me for Christmas. This could be dangerous... :) Christine

  8. What a pretty splash of quilts. The "chaos" of your busy studio doesn't seem to have affected them so I think you're fine :) Good luck with your show. -Joanne

  9. Now you're on the easy side--you're over half way there! They are absolutely charming, Ann. I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite. You might want to move more color to the top of the pile, otherwise the lab looks fine. Just well used by an industrious quilter! Best of luck in your show. Mary

  10. Backing out of responsiblity and possibly losing a customer in the process??? Really now.
I don't post photos of my quilting space when the fabric bomb hits...it might scare people;)
    Happy quilting!!
