Visit with Mercer Museum

ornaments

Drove to Doylestown, PA, yesterday to visit the gift shop at the Mercer Museum.  It was a successful visit; they placed an order for 18 ornaments (basically 3" quilt blocks, quilted and bound, with a string for hanging) and two "large" quilts.  One is a variable star with 9 stars in pastel colors with a neutral border (shown in an earlier post).  The other one of the designs I showed in my last post--the quilt with green setting squares and red border.  If that one sells at my show then I will make another one for the museum.  I have just enough of the red border fabric to make one more.

  1. Congratulations you must be very proud of yourself. Do you construct your 3" blocks in the same manner as your larger quilts? Do you foundation piece them? I have just had a look at my ruler - 3"!?! Do you have little fingers? And no intervention required.

  7. Congratulations, Ann! I am sure they will fly off the shelves and you will need to make more rather soon.
