Back in business

I was able to get some good (non-stinky) quilters dream batting today at my local quilt shop.  It passed the sniff test with flying colors.  After a night of airing out, all the quilt tops smell just fine, too.  I recut batting, relayered everything and I'm ready for my quilting marathon.  I'll worry about getting my money back next week, but for now I am happy and relieved!

  2. Wonderful news! I remember that you were going to meet with someone from the museum to sell your pieces and had a show in March, so this must really be putting pressure on now. I'm like Marsha, I love the flying geese, but they are all fantastic. Best of luck on both endeavors! Mary

  4. What a pile of work you have there! They're all beautiful, so I'm sure it will be a pleasure to work on them. Maybe the stinky batting will air out too, in time?

  5. Getting over unexpected obstacles - all part of the quilting experience. What a beautiful array of quilts. Do you think colour choice is learnt or instinctive?

  11. Hand quilt or machine quilt? I just finished a doll quilt top and don't want to lose the integrity of the quilt by machine quilting but I really don't enjoy hand quilting. What do you do? BettyLou

  14. What a great stack of little quilts! Glad you got the batting problem resolved before they were all quilted.
Is there a lesson for us all in your experience? Should we maybe sniff battings, and maybe fabrics, before we bring them home?
Happy quilting --- in a hurry! *wink* ---"Love"
