Stars Everywhere

Here is an update on one project I was working on during my pink day. This is my design "Little Sawtooth Stars" from APQ last year. I felt like making something familiar. Here are the 9 star blocks with a neutral border that I am pondering.
I looked around the house and found more stars. Red stars in an antique quilt and green stars in an antique PA pillow case. I love those two rows of flying geese. The red and white quilt is tough to date--could be late 19th century or early 20th century. The green and white piece dates between 1830-1860, based on the green fabrics.

  1. Those little stars are going to be so cute! Maybe I could get started again if I tried making something familiar. I think I have some loose scattered geese left over somewhere; maybe I should find them tomorrow. What treasures you have in the red quilt and green pillowcase. You do know how to find them! ---"Love"

  3. Those little stars are so bright and cheery, just what we need on dreary days! What will they become? And dare I ask how big they are? (I'm not sure I want to know!)

  4. I'm making some 4" stars for a doll quilt or two. I love that pattern! I think yours are smaller, aren't they? I thought 4" was small enough for me!! It is wonderful for you to have the antique quilt! It is amazing!

  5. I love the stars. I made a little star quilt after seeing the one in APQ that you did. It is tucked in with a pair of rabbits in an old shoefly rocker from my childhood. Looks great in there and I think of you everytime I walk by it! The antique quilts you have are wonderful, real treasures.
