One of my little quilts has just appeared in the current edition of Fons and Porter Spring 2010
Easy Quilts. It is called "Colorwheel". My quilt is made from antique fabrics (ca. 1880) but you can find nice reproduction fabrics if you want to make it. I haven't seen the actual magazine yet, but did find this photo on the Fons and Porter website. The magazine should be on the newstand any day, if not already. They do offer a kit for the quilt (the magazine does this, I am not involved in the kit at all).

Congratulations! It's really cute - maybe I'll use that pattern for the next dolly quilt. I think my mom gets the magazine...
ReplyDeleteAnn it is beautiful!!! I'll have to go pick up that issue :) Christine
ReplyDeleteVery nice, love the colors you used! Now I want to make some little quilts, too. I can work on them as a break from the big projects once in a while.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, it is nice to see someone I "know" being published! ! !

Another great little quilt! I get that magazine and now I will check out your quilt.
ReplyDeleteKep busy in your lab. Beth
Your quilt is wonderful. To me it looks like cogs in a clock, that are slowly ticking by. I can imagine the movement.

I thought I had commented on this, but guess not. Maybe I was distracted when I went to look for my magazine that I didn't find! I'll have to get one. I love this little quilt too! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. I might have to try a sized-up version though - yours has all those tiny pieces! -Joanne
ReplyDeleteAnother success - well done Ann. Your designs are just perfect for the magazines. Is this similar to the Rolling Stones miniature you did for APQ. I really like the colour combination in this one. Ann :-)
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have found enough antique fabric to make the little quilt. And congratulations on it being published.
