Quilt-making Withdrawal

I long to make some of these....

But not until I finish this...

 My view forward

 My view to the left

My view to the right

My view behind

I have one long chapter and one short chapter left to go.  After that, editing and more editing, formatting and more formatting.  I am ready to be done with this book but have to stick with it for a few more months!

  1. Could you maybe take a break for just a fancy 16" square you could back and bind? Surely that wouldn't delay the book too much! But I know you really want to get the book finished! ---"Love"

  2. I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run, but that seems so harsh. No quilting time with actual fabric?:)

  3. Hang in there...can't wait to see it!

  4. The quilts will still be there, but I understand about itchy fingers, LOL! Get the book finished so you can play! Waiting for my copy!

  5. That space looks rather tidy! At work when I used to help write grants, you couldn't find my desk mid-way through. And I'd imagine your book is a lot more involved than my part in grant-writing! But hang in there. Two more chapters is easy, right? Editing is icing...tedious but easier than writing. And we're all here cheering you on and can't wait to buy the final product!

  6. We're very much looking forward to seeing the results of your exhaustive writing and research. Since I proofread for a living and was a dedicated word processor for several years, if you send me a chapter, I'll be happy to review it. Hang in there!

  7. You are in the home stretch with the writing! Looks like you are putting in a lot of hard work but it will be worth it when you have a finished book. I like Love's idea, maybe even a few little blocks to break up the writing. Hang in there and you will be done in no time!

  8. You can do this, Ann! The brass ring is right in front of you! There is that group who does 15 minutes of play... They create fabric from scraps, then cut it up to make quilts. If you are disciplined enough to write a book, then perhaps you can set a timer and sew for 15 minutes to get it out of your system. And by week's end, you'll have a little quilt top!

  9. I hope you can spare some time to do a little sewing.

  10. I can barely write a letter so I can not begin to imagine writing a book. I can hardly wait to read your book. Hang in there. Maybe if you don't have time to sew you could just pet some fabric.
