We were spared and some antique quilts

We were at the bottom edge of the big east coast storm and get only a couple inches of snow.  Yay!  I stayed in today anyway and did a little rearranging of the quilts.  This late19th-early 20th century log cabin quilt was one of the first antique quilts I ever collected.  I still like it, although my tastes have changed over the years.  I hung it up today in the bedroom to look at for a while to decide if I want to keep it or try to sell it on Etsy.  It is the perfect size to hang.  Can you find the "error"?

I also switched up the display in the corner.  I have some doll aprons hanging on the peg rack along with a pink and yellow star ornament that I made.  The silhouette on the shelf is my mother at age 9.

A couple other views in the bedroom.

  1. Upper left corner. :-) I like seeing how people decorate. We do have similar tastes, however, I don't have many antique quilts. I do have one from DH's mother that was made around 1889 for her mother. I've posted it before, but maybe I'll post it again. It's red and white.

  4. great log cabin quilt. I did find the error, but I've just finished mine, so I've been working with the blocks. I think it makes it charming.

  6. The log cabin quilt is lovely in spite of the upper left corner. All you other little displays are interesting, as always. I thought about you all Saturday morning; I guess the two hour drive went okay? ---"Love"

  11. I found it! I am surprised the quilter didn't see it before stitching. Guess she must have been looking at it for too long?
