I had a fun time speaking last night at the County Line Quilters in nearby, New Britain, PA. I talked about, what else, Pennsylvania patchwork pillowcases. I also shared some of the small quilts I have made that were inspired by antique quilts. It was a lively discussion and the members of the quilt guild seemed to enjoy it.
Next up is an event at the Schwenkelder Library and Heritage Center in Pennsburg, PA, in May. It sounds like so much fun, centered around antique needlework traditions. Samplers, quilts, clothing. Something for everyone. There will be lectures and workshops and a sale by dealers specializing in antique textiles. I am slated to do a workshop on May 18. www.schwenkfelder.com
