Well, I am finally back at full blogging force with my new computer. Now it's time to get caught up on a few things.
I had a successful spring craft show at North Penn high school in late March. I sold 4 good size quilts and every bunny I made from 1930's fabrics. The weather was not too nice which is good for show attendance.
I mentioned in a previous post that I was invited to send some quilts for a small quilt show (that is-- a show of small quilts :) The photo above is one of quilts I sent. It is made from antique fabrics dating to ca. 1880; about 16 inches square. I can't resist that cheddar.
I am expecting another quilt to be published this summer by Quilt Mania. I'll let you know when it comes out.
Most of my early spring activity has not been quilting but doing projects around the house. I stripped wall paper from our front hall, up the stairs, and upstairs hall. There was a lot of plaster repair to be done, so I hired a painter to take it from there. Also purchased radiators covers to cover the icky old radiators in the hall. I am so pleased with the results. Next will be new carpet on the stairs later this year.
The painters also painted the kitchen. Here is our dining area with a new print by Lancaster artist Andy Smith. His booth was near mine at the North Penn show and I admired his work all day. I finally broke down and bought a print.
That's it for now. Glad to be back!
Glad to see you back too.

ReplyDeleteYour house looks great, the rewards of all the hard work.
Glad to see you back. Love the little quilt, I like the strong diagonal the dark fabric creates with the pop of color from the pieced blocks.
