The quilt lab has re-opened for business
Our bathroom rennovation is nearly complete. I have some painting to do...and a lot of cleaning...dust everywhere...but the workers are gone. Yay! No more showers and the YMCA down the street. Double yay!
I have managed a little sewing lately. I am working on a small checkerboard quilt. I have made this design numerous times. It always seems to sell at shows. It is a simple alternating pink and yellow checkerboard; it is fun to use many different prints. My version has 3/4" finished squares but you can make it larger of course. You can see the size compared to my iron in the photo. It will have a med blue border added, after the painting is done!

I'm sure you'll want to be the first to shower in your newly remodeled bathroom! It's looking really nice.
ReplyDeleteHow you can stitch such tiny pieces just boggles my mind! That piece is going to be cute. Isn't it funny how the most simple things draw the most attention? ---"Love"
A NEW bathroom!!!! WOW! Cute little quilt...Teeny tiny squares like your bathroom tile! :) XO

Hi, Anne, welcome back.

So glad to hear the remodel is done! Now to start enjoying it. Love the little checker board quilt top.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was seriously green with jealousy about the new bathroom until I contemplated showers "down the street." I did that for three days when our power was out due to ice and never want to repeat that exercise again. You've earned the new bathroom. Go get busy with the painting so you can enjoy it in all its completed splendor.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that your bathroom work is almost done. Looks much different than the picture you showed us a while ago;)
ReplyDeleteYour checkerboard quilt looks good so far;) Do you do craft shows,or quilt shows?
