And the quilting news just keeps coming...
The February 2011 edition of American Patchwork & Quilting arrived in the mail yesterday.
Turn to page 44 to see my latest contribution. I made a small blue and white quilt based on an antique crib quilt in my collection.
A pattern for both my miniature and the original crib size quilt are given. I am so pleased with the results. Check out the zig zag border!

And the results are in...
My craft show today was fabulous. The crowds were big and sales were great. If this is any indication, I think the economy is getting better. Yay! Liri stopped by to say hi all the way from Philly. She was going to bring her camera to take a picture of me in my booth, but forgot the camera. I forgot my camera today, too. Darn. I did manage to get in a little shopping in between all the selling and picked up a couple Christmas decorations, the santa above and the primitive angel below. The Merry Christmas pinkeep is from Lori's blog HomeSpunPrims. Isn't it cute? I think I'm ready to start my holiday decorating.
The angel is made by Steins Country Collection. Do a google search and you will find their website.

My Quilt News Part 2
My second piece of quilt news is that some of my little quilts--more primitive in design--are now being offered for sale by my friend Carole on her website, Carole's Country. http://www.carolescountry.com/. Not only does Carole offer wonderful primitive antiques, she also offers the work of top traditional artisans. I was honored when she invited me to particpate in her Artisan Store. http://www.carolescountry.com/artisans.html Check her blog page, too; well, really just check out all her pages. Carole's photos are so beautiful, it's a treat to visit her website and look around.

My Quilt News-Part 1
I have lots of quilting news to share with you in the coming weeks. The first exciting piece of news is that one of my quilt designs has just published in Quilt Mania! "Flying in Squares" appears in the Special Series Winter 2010. These two images come from the Quilt mania website. Hopefully I will get better photos to post here in the near future. In the mean time visit their website for a better look. You can order a copy in English or French.

Almost Done
I am finishing up a few items for my show next weekend. The stack of finished ornaments is still smaller than the unfinished but with twenty more to go, I can finish them by the end of the weekend.
I finished this quilt last night.
Since I work with antique fabrics I really haven't bought reproduction fabrics for several years. However, I recently saw some on line that intrigued me because they are almost exact copies of some antique fabrics I have. Check out the pink polka dot. It is hard to see the details because the photo is bit blurry, but boy it is so close, with the fine detail in the background.
Here's another example. Repro is on the right. I wonder if the manufacturers of the repro fabric can claim copyrights to the design?

Thank you!
Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful and supportive posts regarding a future book :-)
- The majority of responses favored a book over individual patterns-great to know this, I wasn't sure.
- Many suggested that using antique fabric for the quilts would be fine, but also making some of the quilts with reproduction fabrics would be a good idea. My thought here is that sometimes my antique fabric stash limits what quilt I might reproduce, for example, a bright Prussian blue is quite rare to find and probably too rare to use--that might be just the right opportunity to make the quilt in reproduction fabrics.
- Many mentioned that they would like information on the history of the antique quilts/fabric-definitely I would include this!
- Including patterns for other than just quilts (e.g.pincushion/ornaments)was suggested-great idea
